On July 3, 4 and 5, 2026, Jardins d’Étretat will present Les Eaux Dormantes, a site-specific choreographic performance conceived and developed by visual artist Marine Nouvel as part of the Normandie Impressionniste festival.
Created in collaboration with performer-choreographers Géraldine Tatard and Morgane Brien-Hamdane, the performance draws inspiration from ponds and still waters as spaces of transformation and mutation. Audiences are invited into a promenade between sea and sky, where dancers emerge within the landscape, blend into the garden’s vegetal forms and gradually transform the site into a living, shifting environment.
The project continues Marine Nouvel’s artistic dialogue with Jardins d’Étretat following her 2025 residency. Her sculpture Là où l’if l’enlace is currently on view in the gardens and will remain installed until the end of the 2026 season.
