On July 3, 4 and 5, 2026, Jardins d’Étretat will present Les Eaux Dormantes, a site-specific dance piece conceived by visual artist Marine Nouvel as part of the Normandie Impressionniste festival.
Created in collaboration with choreographers Géraldine Tatard and Morgane Brien-Hamdane, the piece draws inspiration from ponds and still waters as spaces of transformation and metamorphosis. Visitors are invited into a promenade between sea and sky, where dancers emerge within the landscape, blend into the garden’s vegetal forms and gradually reveal new dimensions of the site and its atmosphere.
The project continues Marine Nouvel’s artistic dialogue with Jardins d’Étretat following her 2025 residency. Her sculpture Là où l’if l’enlace is currently on view in the Gardens and will remain installed until the end of the 2026 season.
