Jardins d’Étretat are pleased to present Instants Fragiles, an exhibition of photographs by Yann Monel, inaugurated as part of Rendez-vous aux Jardins (5–7 June 2026) and on view throughout the 2026 season.

Gardener, photographer and writer, Yann Monel brings an attentive and intimate perspective to the landscape. While Jardins d’Étretat are renowned for their iconic panoramas, Monel turns his attention to subtler aspects of the site: the clear winter light revealing the architecture of bare trees, fog dissolving familiar perspectives, and the metallic reflections of the Channel echoing the garden’s sculptures.

Created outside opening hours, his photographs uncover a quieter place. As the site's spectacular dimension recedes, discreet presences and fleeting atmospheres emerge — elements that visitors rarely have the opportunity to witness.

This series offers another image of Jardins d’Étretat, where beauty resides as much in transitions as in forms.

The exhibition is presented at Villa La Roxelane and included with standard garden admission.
