Jardins d'Étretat are pleased to announce the opening of Instants Fragiles, a photographic series by Yann Monel, inaugurated as part of Rendez-vous aux Jardins (5–7 June 2026) and on view throughout the 2026 season.

Presented within Villa La Roxelane, the exhibition is included in the standard garden visit and accessible to all visitors.

Over several months, Yann Monel photographed the Gardens outside opening hours and away from periods of public attendance, during moments of withdrawal when the garden sheds its more spectacular dimension to reveal quieter, more elusive states: frost-caught leaves at dawn, metallic reflections of the Channel in winter, green labyrinths dissolving into fog.

Rather than documenting the site, Monel’s work seeks to capture its barely perceptible inner transformations, inviting the viewer’s gaze to linger on what would otherwise escape attention.
